Australian Catholic University - International Student Scholarship
 

  1. Up to 22 Scholarships will be available to commencing undergraduate or postgraduate international students each year, consisting of –
    > Two Higher Degree by Research scholarships equivalent to the full-time fees1 and stipend2 for the recipient's enrolling in a Masters by Research or Doctoral course of study; and
    > 20 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships equivalent to one-half of the full-time fees1 for the recipient's course of study3.
     
  2. Each scholarship will be awarded for the duration of the recipient's course, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
     
  3. Applicants must –
    a) be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand;
    b) have gained and formally accepted a place in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Australian Catholic University (ACU);
    c) attend at the relevant ACU campus as a full-time student;
    d) not be in receipt of another major scholarship or award4;
    e) not be attending ACU as a Study Abroad or Exchange student.
     
  4. Applications should include –
    a) details of the applicant's course of study at ACU;
    b) evidence of academic merit including achievement of an average of at least 80% across the applicant's secondary study5 (for undergraduate students) or undergraduate study (for postgraduate students), whether at ACU or elsewhere.
     
  5. The Scholarships may be awarded each year on the recommendation of a Selection Committee consisting of the Executive Director, International, the Executive Dean of each Faculty (or nominee), the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Associate Director, International Admissions and Student Relations and the Associate Director, International Marketing and Recruitment.
     
  6. In considering applications, in addition to the eligibility and selection criteria, the Selection Committee may give consideration to –
    a) the diversity of the source countries of applicants and of the courses in which they are enrolled (including across a spread of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and research programs and campuses); and
    b) in the case of applicants undertaking research degrees, the alignment of the applicant's intended research with the research strengths of the University

Faculty of Business Executive Dean's Scholarship 2012

The Faculty of Business offers scholarships for international students in 2012.

The Executive Dean's Scholarship is valued up to AUD 8,000. It is available to international students enrolling in the Faculty of Business in 2012.

Scholarship Details

  • The Scholarship will subsidise tuition fees by AUD 1,000 in the first semester of study
  • Upon successful completion of all enrolled units, tuition fees in the next semester will also be subsidised by AUD 1,000
  • The Scholarship will continue for all semesters in the program, providing successful completion of units is maintained
     

Scholarship Value
The maximum value of the Scholarship depends on the length of the program:

Undergraduate

  • Bachelor Degree (up to AUD 6,000)
  • Double Bachelor Degree (up to AUD 8,000)

Postgraduate

  • Graduate Certificate (up to AUD 1,000)
  • Graduate Diploma (up to AUD 2,000)
  • Masters Degree (up to AUD 3,000)
  • Masters (Advanced) Degree (up to AUD 4,000)
  • Double Masters Degree (up to AUD 4,000)
     

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Scholarship you must:

  • Be an international student
  • Enrol full-time in an ACU Faculty of Business undergraduate degree or postgraduate coursework program
  • Commence studies in the eligible program in 2012
     

How to Apply
ACU will consider all eligible students for the Scholarship at the time of application for admission. No further application is required.

Recipients will receive confirmation of the Scholarship in the Letter of Offer issued by ACU.

Conditions

  • The Scholarship is only offered to students who begin a Faculty of Business program in 2012
  • The Scholarship is not given for units where credit is granted
  • A student must enrol in a minimum of three units in a semester to be deemed as having full-time enrolment
  • The maximum value of the Scholarship over 12 months is AUD 2,000
  • The Scholarship does not apply to higher degree research, honours, certificates or diplomas
